This scholarship is generally awarded to a student from an underserved or underrepresented community. Students pursuing degrees in healthcare-related fields are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will also have demonstrated church or community involvement.

This scholarship is named in memory of Mrs. Verlia S. Hill, the matriarch of the Hill family. She was a woman strong in faith who was very involved in the Catholic Church. She was a retired healthcare professional who had a gift for serving and caring for others. She was passionate about caring for the vulnerable and often forgotten seniors among us. We hope to help a deserving student continue serving this population.
